July means it’s time for our incredible heirloom sweet corn grown right at the farm. That’s why we named the corn dinner “incredible” because you haven’t tasted anything like it. We sell our corn all through July and August at the farm and at the Greenville Farmers Market. We’re so proud and appreciative to play such a big role in our Greeneville community.
It’s a busy and exciting time of year on the farm! We just finished up having the Annual Corn Dinner to celebrate all the food grown right here in Greene County. The dinner took place July 16, 2016 hosting by our friends at Rural Resources. The dinner showcased several courses of Greene County locally grown and food prepared by Ella Price with music by JB and the Wild Honey Band. It truly was the highlight of summer in Greene County.
Proceeds from the event go towards the Farm & Food Teen Training Program, which teaches at-risk teens how to grow, cook, and market their own food, as well as Farm Day Camp, which gives preschool through elementary aged children the opportunity to see where their food comes from on a real working farm.
